SHI Memory OS Terms of Service

Last updated: June 29, 2026

Applicable products: shi.my / SHI Memory Protocol / Hermes AI System

Thank you for choosing SHI Memory OS. These Terms of Service constitute a legal agreement between you and SHI Memory OS regarding your use of this system. Please read and fully understand these Terms before using the system. If you do not agree to any provision, do not use the system. Accessing or using the system in any way constitutes your acknowledgment that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Agreement.

1. Service Definition

SHI Memory OS is an AI-powered memory and task automation system. Core services include: AI Memory Storage (securely store, index, and retrieve user-submitted memory); Structured Knowledge System (build a personalized knowledge graph using Entity and Tag); Task Automation (create, manage, and track executable tasks); API Access (standardized RESTful API); and Hermes AI System (built-in AI Agent providing context-enhanced Q&A, analysis, suggestions, and task generation). The platform is built on the principle of user data isolation combined with AI-enhanced capabilities.

2. Acceptable Use

When using this service you must: comply with applicable laws and regulations; use the API responsibly and avoid generating abnormal load; not attempt penetration, injection, DDoS attacks, reverse engineering, or cracking; not access, modify, delete, or copy other users' data; and provide accurate registration and contact information. Violations may result in warnings, restricted access, suspension, or account termination, and may be subject to legal action.

3. API Usage Policy

All API requests must carry a valid API Key (invalid requests return 401 Unauthorized). API Keys have defined permission scopes (read / write / admin) and must only be used within authorized scope. API Keys are confidential — do not share, publish, or transfer them; you are responsible for any consequences of key disclosure. You must not use the API to probe or reverse-engineer internal system logic. Comply with published rate limits and do not perform bulk scraping or excessive requests.

4. AI Behavior

The AI engine may automatically generate Entity, Tag, Task, or Policy optimization suggestions based on your data; you can control these features in system settings. AI outputs are based on probabilistic models and are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate — you should independently evaluate AI-generated content and bear the associated decision-making risk. AI models may be upgraded over time. Important: do not use AI outputs as the sole basis for decisions in medical, legal, financial, or other professional domains.

5. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the system does not guarantee: the accuracy of AI-generated content; absolute real-time performance of API responses or AI inference; stability of third-party services; uninterrupted service availability; or that data will never be lost. We recommend regularly backing up important data. The service is provided AS IS and AS AVAILABLE; by using the service you acknowledge and voluntarily accept these risks.

6. Service Changes

We reserve the right to update the API (with advance notice), modify system default policies, and upgrade AI models and algorithms. Such changes will not affect your ownership of existing data and will not delete your data without your explicit consent. If changes materially restrict your rights, we will notify you and obtain necessary consent.

7. Data Ownership

All data you input, generate, or store through this system (including Memory, Entity, Task, Tag) belongs to you. SHI Memory OS acts solely as a neutral storage and AI enhancement provider and claims no ownership over your data. Data from different users is strictly isolated via the user_id mechanism. We will not use your data for model training, data sales, or commercial promotion without your separate written consent.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not use this service to: store or distribute data that violates applicable laws; conduct network attacks, penetration, or resource exhaustion; call the API beyond reasonable use or perform bulk scraping; collect or disclose others' personal information without authorization; impersonate others or engage in fraud; or interfere with normal system operation or other users' access.

9. Account & API Key Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your API Key; losses caused by key disclosure, loss, or theft are your responsibility. You may regenerate your API Key at any time, immediately invalidating the old key. We recommend rotating API Keys regularly and following the principle of least privilege. If you discover unauthorized use, contact us immediately or disable/regenerate the key through the system.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your data at any time. We may terminate service if: you seriously breach these Terms; your API usage impacts system stability; your account poses a security risk; required by law; or the system ceases operations (with reasonable advance notice and data export assistance). After termination, we will delete your data within a reasonable period per your instructions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages; our total cumulative liability shall not exceed the service fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim; you bear sole responsibility for decisions made based on AI outputs. This clause does not exclude liability for personal injury caused by our intentional or grossly negligent acts.

12. Intellectual Property

The software, code, UI design, API interfaces, algorithms, trademarks, and names of SHI Memory OS are protected intellectual property. Without explicit written authorization you may not copy, modify, distribute, or decompile them. Intellectual property contained in your data remains yours; the system claims no rights over it.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to the competent People's Court at the location of the system operator.

14. Amendments

We may revise these Terms due to changes in laws, product features, or business needs. Revised Terms will be published at https://shi.my and communicated through appropriate channels. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree, stop using the service and delete your data.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
